About Me

I have always loved writing.  Even as a child, I remember sitting in my second grade classroom, hurrying to finish my work, so I could choose a coveted "quiet" activity to enjoy at my desk.  In anticipation, I would hurry to the back table, which was filled with the most amazing writing treasures.  A picture of a clown with circus words inside, or a panting dog with dozens of words to describe pet care.  Carefully choosing my favorite, I would hurry back to my desk, get out a looseleaf page and my sparkliest pencil, and begin writing a fantastical story using as many words from the picture as I could.  That second grade year, my love of writing blossomed!

As a wife and mom, writing has often taken a back burner to any number of glorious family adventures, and the many life moments that are so "daily." However, now that our kids are all teenagers, and I'm not running after littles anymore, God has opened up a season of opportunity to share the joy and wonder of these days we are living in.  I firmly believe Jesus is coming SO soon, and that He is worthy of announcing!

So grab a cup of coffee and a snuggly blanket, and join me in this new adventure, as I unpack the heart lessons God has taught me, and many that are sure to come.  Life is hard and messy, but Jesus is the Joy in my Journey.  I pray He is the Joy in yours!
